Original painting of Mike Schmidt. His 1986 Topps card was the inspiration. You baseball card buffs will notice a deviation from the original card. Topps listed Schmidt's position as 1B - Mike is without a doubt one of the greatest third basemen of all-time so changing it to 3B seemed fitting. Painted in oil on illustration board - it measures 12" x 16" overall - the image is 10" x 14" which is proportional to the original Topps card.
